The first one to go was the big brother
The very next year we sent off another
To school they must go, there is no looking back
The numbers at home were beginning to slack
When we had to send off daughter number two (whose Kindergarten pictures are lost– poor middle child! Boo hoo!)
The two left at home didn’t know what to do!
Now it is time to send out the door
Daughter number three, child number four
I don’t usually cry as the bus passes by
but as each year gets a little harder, don’t ask me why
When the dust settles and morning is done
The bus will roll away
leaving just one

You are so creative! It's hard to imagine a time when I will be home alone . . . right now I have just one, but we'll be starting over with a 14-18-month-old next year. So I won't have to stock up on tissues for a while. :o)

So true!! Thanks for sharing Michelle. Let me tell you how sad I am for next year to come already, when Cody and Ella go to Kindergarten! I'm ready to cry just thinking about it THIS year!
